ADOPT A JEWISH SERVICEPERSON
Sponsor a Memorial Stake

Dear Members & Friends,

VAJEX has launched a new project to further honour the memories of our serving departed.

At the annual ANZAC Day service at Caulfield Park, the Gentiles have individual memorial stakes for some of their serving departed. The term used for this is the “Field of Crosses.” Many people in the community are not aware that Jewish military personnel have also served to defend their countries for the sake of freedom.

Therefore, your committee has undertaken an exciting initiative, to produce a “Field of Magen Davids!”  This is a wonderful opportunity for you to sponsor a Memorial Stake for your own loved ones who did either Australian military service or served with any of the Allied Forces. You may nominate anyone who was Killed in Action, Died of Wounds, performed Home Service Duty, Reservists etc, in fact any category of military service personnel who have fallen.

The donation for sponsoring each Memorial Stake is $36. For each Memorial Stake sponsored, you will receive a beautiful Certificate naming you as the sponsor. Each certificate will have an image of the details on your individual stake. A list of sponsors will also appear in our Association magazine, PARADE.

Below is a link to an application form, which when completed, should be mailed with your cheque to:
